Korean-American Society of Iowa (KASI)
The Korean-American Society of Iowa (KASI) is the oldest and one of few nonprofit organizations in Iowa serving Koreans, Korean-American, Korean adoptees, individuals and groups. Operating across Iowa, their mission is to enrich the social, cultural, educational and economical life of its members and to provide the non-fluent English-speaking community access to information and resources.
RISE AmeriCorps Members with KASI serve the Korean, Korean-American and Korean adoptee communities by supporting community needs. This includes translating national and local information in Korean. Members also connect community members in need to resources and support bilingual youth and their non-fluent English speaking parents with COVID-19 recovery efforts. |
