Meet Yempapou
Yempapou Yemboame is a RISE AmeriCorps member with Catherine McAuley Center in Cedar Rapids.
After living in Dallas, Texas, Yempapou moved to Iowa and settled in Cedar Rapids. He attends St Jude's Catholic Church where he benefitted from Catherine McAuley Center's education program. This introduced him to CMC's leadership training, and he was then recruited as an Education Coordinator to assist the RISE program with the implementation of refugee economic projects. As an active member of organizations for the defense of human and peoples' rights in Africa, particularly in Burkina Faso, he aims to help the African community achieve economic independence. He is the President of the pan-African association M.P.S.P which is involved in movement. Moral integrity, social justice, solidarity and forgiveness are the main values that guide Yempapou's life. |
