Meet Nafissatou
Nafissatou Lamidi is a RISE AmeriCorps Member serving with Hoover Community School in Cedar Rapids.
Nafissatou is a Development Specialist with a wealth of experience in Data Analysis. She is devoted to doing development better. She cares about translating rigorous evidence to policies that improve lives in a meaningful and sustainable way. As a Research Assistant at the Institute of Political Economy, she worked on several Impact Evaluation projects, including “Math Project” which aimed at understanding what makes girls succeed or fail in the Beninese education system; and “Motivation of Public Worker Project” which tested whether financial incentives would improve local governance agents’ performance. During her first term, she took part in the refugee resettlement process from client intake to implementation of service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Now, she is excited to serve a second term as a RISE AmeriCorps member and continue working with families in designing and providing effective services. She holds a B.S. in Planning and Community Development, a M.S. in Project Management, and a second M.S. in Development Studies. She is curious about almost anything and loves to connect with big dreamers and doers. |
