Meet Nafi

Nafissatou Lamidi is a RISE AmeriCorps member with Eastern Iowa African Diaspora in Cedar Rapids.

Nafi is a West African (Benin) immigrant and speaks five languages including French, Yoruba, Fon, and Ewe. She comes to the RISE AmeriCorps program with a wealth of experience.

Nafi is currently in the process of defending her thesis for her Master of Science degree in Development Studies. Well versed in data, project management and analysis, she will be serving at Hoover Community School as an Impact and Data Analyst.

​After defending her thesis, Nafi will be applying to prestigious Phd programs. She specializes in research with emerging populations and their economic behavior and impact.
