Meet Muani

Picture
Lal Muani is a RISE AmeriCorps member with Ethnic Minorities Advocacy and Resource Center (EMBARC).

Originally from Burma, Muani came to the United States as a refugee with her family in 2012. She now lives in Des Moines with her husband and four children, and serves her community as a part-time interpreter.

"I am so excited to join this team because it will enable me to gain lots of new experience and knowledge while helping others at the same time," Muani says.
