Meet Magdelin

Magdelin Lopez Batista is a RISE AmeriCorps member serving with Centro Latino of Iowa in Council Bluffs.

Originally from Cuba, Magdelin immigrated to the United States in 2015. Since she is still learning English, she hopes RISE will help improve and develop her ESL skills. Magdelin studied Psychology in school and wants to apply her experience to support people in need.

On a personal note, Magdelin is Christian, married, and a mother of three children who make her very happy.
