Meet Jesse (Jaesik)

Jesse (Jaesik) Son is a RISE AmeriCorps Member serving with the Korean-American Society of Iowa. 

Jesse grew up in South Korea before moving to Iowa at age 17. He graduated from Iowa State University last May and has since worked as a freelance photographer and videographer. 

Jesse previously assisted EMBARC’s COVID-19 vaccine outreach and communications efforts. He's now serving with the Korean-American Society of Iowa. 

Through RISE AmeriCorps, he hopes to develop teamwork skills and contribute to RISE’s mission of removing barriers and providing opportunities for refugees.

Jesse loves taking and editing photos and videos. In his free time, he watches movies, works out, and hangs out with his friends.
