Meet Emily

Emily Mu is a RISE AmeriCorps member serving with Ethnic Minorities of Burma Advocacy and Resource Center (EMBARC) in Des Moines. Originally from Thailand, Emily came to the United States in 2009.

"I joined the RISE AmeriCorps team because I want to help my community as much as I can. This is a great opportunity for me to get involved and connect people to resources they need," Emily says.
