Meet Ehshee

Picture
Ehshee Thawber is a RISE AmeriCorps member with Ethnic Minorities of Burma Resource and Advocacy Center (EMBARC) in Des Moines.

Ehshee is originally from Thailand, Mae La Refugee Camp, and came to the United States in 2007. She is currently studying at Des Moines Area Community College and will transfer to the University of Iowa to pursue a degree in Social Work.

Eshee joined the RISE AmeriCorps team because she wanted to help her community, saying "This is a golden opportunity for me to get involved in the community and help out as many families as I can during this pandemic."
