Meet Destiny

Destiny Luong is a RISE AmeriCorps Member serving  with the RISE AmeriCorps Program as an impact specialist. 

Destiny lives in Altoona and graduated from DMACC in the spring of 2021 with an associate’s degree in cybersecurity. She also previously worked as an intern with EMBARC and served her first RISE AmeriCorps term over the summer of 2021.

Through RISE, she said she was able to gain experience and work with many amazing individuals. Now, she’s taking on a 1700 hour service term over the next year.

“I hope to gain more experience while utilizing my degree in IT, as well as meet more individuals who will guide me through my professional development.”
