Meet Amanda

Amanda Colleen McVann is a RISE AmeriCorps Member serving with the RISE Program’s communications team.

Amanda has spent her entire life telling stories, serving others, and empowering marginalized voices. 

“Growing up in New York, I was surrounded by rich, diverse cultures from across the globe which led to wonderful and transformative friendships. Those relationships and experiences broadened my perspective, deepened my compassion, and ignited my curiosity to learn more about the world and people around me. Now, I hope to dedicate my life to uplifting stories from communities that might be overlooked - but are worthy of being seen, heard, and affirmed.”
