Jewels Academy

Jewels Academy offers educational STEM programs in Des Moines for students in 4th through 12th grades. The organization’s mission is to give girls from underrepresented communities, including refugee and immigrant communities, the opportunity to thrive in STEM. Workshops, day camps and classes throughout the year teach youth about math, app technology, science experiments, and more. 

RISE AmeriCorps Members assist with tutoring and mentoring students during the STEM workshops and classes.
